The municipality of Tina created by virtue of the decree No. 511 of 1994 dated March 7, 1994

Its borders have been modified as a result of the generalization of the municipal system throughout Tunisia, according to Decree No. 602 of 2016 dated May 26, 2016

Since its inception, the municipality has had 3 special prosecution offices and 4 elected councils.
